What are your opening hours?
Hire Tablet offices are open from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, but we are fully aware that in this industry sometimes it's necessary to be flexible. We can accommodate out of hours orders and fulfillment. Our technical support service is available to customers 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

If you have a urgent request for IPads or to speak to us for help during a hire outside of typical working hours, simply email email@example.com and we promise to respond with 15 minutes, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
When does the rental period begin and end?
We calculate rental periods based on days rather than hour to keep things simple. The days are counted from the moment you collect/sign for it to the day you post it back to us/drop it off.
For instance if you collected an iPad in person on Wednesday and then posted it back to us on Friday. Then the rental period would be for 3 days, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
If for instance you required delivery of the iPad, and we posted it on Monday via next day delivery, then the rental period will begin the day it was delivered to you (in this case Tuesday). Then if you went to the post office and posted it back to us on Friday (and we received it on Monday). Then the rental period would be four days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
The rental periods work in your favour, we do not count the period of time when goods are in transit. However please retain all proof of postage in the rare event that the courier/RM take longer than expected.
We advise all customers to post items back to us via next day delivery, just as we do to you. If an economy service is used to send goods back without our agreement we may charge you for the extra days spent in transit.
Are your iPads and other equipment insured? What happens in the event of damage?
We do not insure iPads, insurance is prohibitively expensive and this we rent out iPads on the basis that you will look after them as you would your own. We recommend that you obtain your own insurance. In the event of damage to our equipment will will charge you the rental and cost of repair on top. If the damage is significant we will charge you for a replacement. For damage repairs we charge a fair amount based on how much it would cost us to repair and nothing more.
You must report any damage to our iPads as soon as possible. We can arrange replacements for you if required.
What happens when an iPad is lost/stolen?
We will charge you for the cost of replacement and send you another one. Sending out another iPad may be subject to additional p&p costs too. Please let us know immediately when an iPad is lost or stolen so we are informed and can take necessary action to help you with a replacement.
Can I take an iPad abroad?
We generally do not rent out to individuals who want to take the iPad abroad, but we do allow companies to do so for business use. However each situation is judged on a case by case basis. If you intend to take the iPad abroad we must be informed prior to signing rental agreement. You will need to get insurance cover for taking the iPad abroad too, a high percentage of gadgets taken abroad are mislaid/lost/stolen/damaged. So you must get insurance cover.
What is your damage/wear and tear policy?
We fully expect ipads to show some signs of wear and tear over time, light brush marks and minor scrapes are all acceptable. We want you to enjoy using your rental iPad and not feel like you have a huge liability on your hands. generally as long as you don't take it near the water, nor do you drop it, and keep it inside it's case. It should be fine. That being said we cann't accept deep scratches or dents on the iPad.
How much are delivery charges?
We charge fair rates for delivery and pickup, we do not make a profit on these charges, because prices will vary all the time, please call us for the latest rate.
What happens if I return an iPad late?
We understand that it's not always possible to stick to agreed deadlines at all times, sometimes people forget to return the devices after a long an exhausting business event or exhibition. We can allow for a few days delay, but bear in mind we will add the extra days rental fees as per our rental fees schedule. If you wish to extend your rental please inform us so that we can keep control of our stock. However, if we do not hear from you for a long time after the end of your rental and do not receive the iPad back, you may be subject to a penalty charge of £50 [subject to a valid reason for lack or communication and late return].
I no longer need the iPad can I cancel/return the iPad early?
You may cancel your rental at any time without penalty as long as you inform us 48 hours prior to the rental start date. For cancellations after that threshold, you will be subject to a 20% administration fee of the total rental cost. You are welcome to return the iPad early, however we will not be able to refund you for the remaining rental period which you have not used. Though we judge these circumstances on a case by case basis, ask us for extenuating circumstances for refund on early return.
What's the best way to return the iPad?
Best method is to via secure courior/Royal mail. Make sure you insure the devices up their their value in case there is damage in transit. We can arrange our own courier for collection, however if you miss the scheduled pickup/return day you may be charged courier rebound fees.
Whats the fastest possible way to get hold of my iPad rental?
We allow for rental pickup from from our East London office, phone in prior to making the trip in order to ensure availability. For a small fee we can drop off the iPads to your office as well.
Delivery is/was late?
We use the most reliable couriors for delivery of the iPads. We have a two strike rule, if a courior loses/delays our packages twice we no longer use them. Our current courior has been reliable thus far. But we understand that anything can happen, even the best courior services get delayed by Olympic traffic, terrorist strikes, fuel shortages etc.
We charge you for rental from the day you receive the iPads, if for whatever reason the iPad are delayed you may wish to continue with the rental (in which case we will recalculate the rental period, and deduct the days you ddi not receive them for), or you may reserve the right to cancel the rental altogether. In which case return the iPads back to use and we'll give you a refund.
Please contact us in such case, we are flexible and can work something out with you so that both parties are happy.
Is it possible to reserve iPads?
We actually strongly encourage our clients to reserve iPads well in advance. This gives us plenty of time to book and anticipate for future orders, allowing us to cater for everyone. Plus reservations are the only way that you can guarantee availability of iPads when you need them. To make reservations contact us or call us on 0800 098 8364. We will require a small deposit to make a guaranteed reservation and you can reserve up to 6 months in advance.
Can I extend my rental?
We usually have plenty of extra stock to allow for customers to extend their rentals without notice by keeping them for a few extra days, we will charge you the fair extended rental fees which is just the normal days rate for each extra date hired out. However please tell us in advance or on the date due so that we know where our equipment are.
Can I cancel my rental/hire?
Yes, you are free to cancel up to 48 hours before a rental for average sized orders (20 iPads or less). However if you have a particularity large order, say 80 iPads we will discuss cancellation policies on a case by case basis. Large orders may mean that we have to refuse business to other people, therefore it will be a major inconvenience to us and a loss in business if you pull out. Full cancellation policies for large orders will be discussed with you.
What is the maximum number of iPads I can hire?
Max rentals are subject to background checks, normally we will only rent out large quantities to limited companies.
Do you allow rentals to individuals for private use?
Generally yes, but we will carry out background checks and reserve the right to refuse business with anyone.
Do you have age restrictions on rentals?
As with all rental services, rentals are only allowed for 18+, anyone under 18 will need to get someone over 18 to rent for them.
